Congratulations to the Mini-Kickers

The Year 1 and Year 2 Everton Mini-Kickers tournaments have taken place in the last two weeks and we have taken part in both competitions. We had one team of Year 1s competing last Friday and one team of Year 2s competing tonight. There was great sportsmanship shown throughout and the boys and girls who took part were a credit to our school. Well done to all who took part!

The Year 1s came second in their tournament; the Year 2 A team came third in their group and the Year 2 B team also came third in their group.

Thank you to all of the parents for supporting us!

Sports Days

Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Sports Days have all taken place over the last few weeks and it pleases me to say that all were successful!

It was great seeing so many children actively involved in competitive sport and competing to the best of their ability.  Well done to all involved!

Here are a few pictures of the Key Stage 2 Sports Day. Key Stage 1 and Foundation Sports day photographs will be added shortly.

Finch Farm Football

This afternoon, seven Year 2 children were given the opportunity to play football at Finch Farm, having qualified from their local area tournament.

The boys played extremely well but unfortunately fell just short on the day, losing 4 games and winning 1.  Their efforts were incredible though and given that they were a newly established team with very little training, they performed exceptionally well; they made the school very proud!  Most importantly, regardless of results, the boys had lots of fun and a great workout!  Well done all!

Mini Kickers- Year 2 and Year 3

On Friday night, six Year 2 and seven Year 3 children were selected to represent Our Lady’s in a Mini Kickers football tournament hosted by Everton F.C.  The tournament was played at Ellesmere Port Catholic High School and a great time was had by all!

Accompanied by Miss. Murray, Miss Aylward and Miss Browne, the children were all in fine spirit and gave their all to the tournament.   The standard of football on display was high and I’ve no doubt that the children will go on to become fine athletes of the future.  The Year 2 and Year 3 teams were even selected to play each other, with the game finishing at 2-2.

The Year 3 team came in third position on the night, and the Year 2 team managed to come second!

Well done to all involved and thank you to the Year 2 and 3 parents for your support on the night!
